Use this chart to gauge which course would best match your experience level.
It is a requirement that new students have a placement test for grammar classes and a two minute conversation with the instructor before registering in a conversation class.
Beginners Courses:
True Beginners - A
The basics such as the alphabet, numbers, sounds, gender, time, and the verb "ser"
True Beginners - B
The verb "estar" and pronouns for expressing ownership, possession, necessity, being and going
Beginners I - Grammar
How to conjugate all the regular, irregular and stem changing verb types in the present tense
Beginners II - Grammar
How to refer to objects and reflexive, indirect, and direct pronouns
Beginners Conversation
Basic listening, speaking, and writing in Spanish
Beginners Readers
Reading and discussing a Spanish book in the present tense
Mid Level Courses:
Mid Level I - Grammar
How to describe specific actions in the past tense(preterite)
Mid Level II - Grammar
How to provide commentary on settings and ongoing events in the past (the imperfect verb tense)
Mid Level Conversation
Writing, discussing, and interacting totally in Spanish
Readers I
Reading and examining grammar using easy Spanish books

Reading and examining grammar reading more advanced books

Advanced I - Grammar
How to express opinions, values, commands, intentions and uncertainties (the present subjunctive verb tense)

How to construct fluent, complex sentences, rounding out the student's ability to manage Spanish
